I’ve just discovered that if you use the ‘Search’ function in TweetDeck, and select one of the dropdowns (for example, Users) it’s possible to get an unhandled exception. I noticed this whilst searching for Daleks (as you do).
Whilst not directly related to Daleks (I’m sure any search could potentially meet with the same fate), the issue seems to be caused by the process checking for new notifications.
This issue has been exterminated, and will be made available in the next update.
Highlighted through contact with another Twitter In An App User (thanks @lamadei!) I’ve just discovered that if you uncheck the option ‘Notify On Mention’, then neither the ‘Flash Window on Mention’ option works as it should, nor does the tray icon turn Orange as you might expect.
This has now been fixed, and will be available in the update tomorrow!
It has just come to my attention that embedded videos (whilst they don’t work in Twitter In An App yet) when clicked on are being opened using an external browser… when they shouldn’t be.
Now there’s possibly an argument here that says, whilst Twitter In An App doesn’t support embedded video playback that perhaps it should open in the external browser. However, I feel that I’d rather keep Twitter based content inside the application window, warts and all until solutions are found.
This issue has now been fixed (for YouTube and twimg.com hosted videos) and will be made available in an update tomorrow.
